The Lac de Miel is a little slice of paradise! Surrounded by nature. Between Corrèze and Dordogne. What I love: the direct access to the lake and the beach. Children can play safely with the slides and diving boards. And even if the weather isn't great, there's an indoor pool where everyone can have fun. Plus, beautiful picturesque villages are nearby the campsite: Collonges-la-Rouge, Rocamadour... Not to mention the must-see Lascaux Caves!
Located in Beynat, surrounded by nature, Camping Le Lac de Miel welcomes you for an unforgettable holiday between Corrèze and Dordogne. Bordering the Lac de Miel and its beach, it is a true haven of peace for holidaymakers seeking relaxation and escape. The campsite offers mobile home rentals as well as pitches for tents and caravans.
With direct access to the lake and its beach, you can enjoy a swimming area, fishing, and water activities such as pedal boating. You can also take a dip in the heated indoor pool and have fun on the slides!
A pleasant path runs around the entire lake, featuring a fitness trail — perfect for a scenic walk or for keeping fit during your holidays. Numerous mountain biking and hiking trails are also accessible directly from the campsite or the village of Beynat, ensuring plenty of family adventures.
Just 21 km from the campsite, the Biodiversity Reserve of Argentat-sur-Dordogne is a wonderful nature spot. A former quarry now transformed into a sanctuary for local wildlife and flora, it offers a flat 2 km trail for a peaceful walk through preserved landscapes — perfect for observing, breathing, and recharging in tranquility.
This region is full of emblematic villages, such as Collonges-la-Rouge (22 km), listed among the most beautiful villages in France for its striking red sandstone houses that give its cobbled streets a charming medieval atmosphere. Wander through the narrow lanes and admire the beautifully decorated facades.
At 20 km, don’t miss Turenne, perched on a hill and offering spectacular panoramic views of the Corrèze valley from its ruined feudal castle. Also 20 km away, explore Curemonte, known for its three medieval castles and well-preserved architecture.
Nearby, visit Carennac, a medieval village overlooking the Dordogne River (38 km), with its 11th-century abbey. Don’t miss Rocamadour, the famous pilgrimage site with its basilica and sanctuaries (59 km).
And above all, the Gouffre de Padirac (46 km) — one of the most spectacular natural attractions in the region, where visitors descend by boat along an underground river to discover vast galleries adorned with stalactites and stalagmites. A unique and unforgettable experience in the heart of the earth.
