Camping Duravel is located between Villeneuve sur Lot and Cahors in the South West of France, along the river with direct access to it, and offers rental of mobile homes, bungalows and chalets.

People have different expectations when it comes to their holidays. Some prefer quiet holidays where they spend time with family and relax. Others prefer sports and a party atmosphere.

With the Fun Dose, you can choose the right campsite for the whole family. There are four different entertainment levels: green, blue, purple, and red. The fuller the bottle, the more entertainment there is! If the potion vial is green or only half full, then there is little entertainment on site. If the vial is red or nearly full, plenty of entertainment is available.

No matter the level of the Fun Dose, the mini-clubs and participation in all activities are free of charge.

 

On this campsite the Fun Dose is red. This means there is a lot of entertainment provided!

From 6th July to 28th August 2026, we offer the following entertainment free of charge:

-The Clapou Club (4-6 years old) and Policator Club (7-10 years old) welcome children 4 days a week, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. 

-The Nobodys (11-17 year olds) meet up twice a week.

-We offer evening entertainment 5 nights a week, 4 entertainers, aqua gym every morning and an almost non-stop super fun day and evening program until midnight!

-Entertainment on French campsites starts from the 8th July (in French). On Dutchbox campsites the French animation team includes 1 Dutch speaking entertainer.

In the Netherlands, we offer entertainment from 3rd July to 30th August 2026.

Carabouille playground of the Holiday Park :

Mael, at the Duravel campsite in Dordogne (Near Bergerac, South France)
One morning, the locals at Duravel village got an enormous surprise.
Several enormous eggs had been left in front of their farms. Their white reflection shining in the sun and no clues to explain which strange animals had laid them there…
The farmers, stunned, waited a long time for the eggs to hatch but nothing was happening. No omelette or fried egg could be cooked as the shell was as hard as metal. The eggs remained at the same spot, intact, for many generations or Duravel farmers and the locals got used to the unusual sight.  
One full moon night, little Mael went out and met with Carabouille. She whispered a magical spell in his ear and disappeared in the darkness.  
Mael approached one of the eggs, stuck his mouth against it and chanted the magical spell. « Dragonicum and crackorum, great boolum fly away rooum. »
It was only unitl a few years later that little Mael was seen again. Riding a Dragon, he had become Carabouille’s knight. When Mael gets tired after slaying 5 headed snakes, he thinks to himself, that on that night, he should have stayed in bed…..

Young children must wear swim diapers specifically designed for water use.
Wearing the wristband is mandatory.
Children who cannot swim must wear armbands at all times.
