Le Thor, a picturesque village in the Vaucluse region, is located 5 km from L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, a village known for its colours, antiques and Provençal market. Camping Le Jantou is situated on the banks of the Sorgue river (swimming prohibited, but a cool spot for family picnics) and just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Le Thor. The Jantou campsite offers mobile homes, chalets and gypsy caravans for rent.
The campsite’s aquatic centre includes 2 heated outdoor pools, 1 paddling pool with children’s slide, 1 indoor heated pool and 3 water slides! Come and enjoy mini-golf, beach volleyball or the multisports ground.
In the heart of Provence, between Avignon and the Luberon, the region is full of magnificent villages such as Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and its mysterious spring, Roussillon with its ochre trail, or Saumane-de-Vaucluse. Also enjoy the lavender fields near the campsite in May/June, as well as the numerous hikes and walks along the banks of the Sorgue or through vineyards and orchards. Discover Provence’s historical heritage: Avignon, city of the Popes with its famous bridge and the Palais des Papes, and Gordes, listed among the ‘Most Beautiful Villages of France’, a village of artists and traditions. PEAK SEASON : The fun dose
People have different expectations when it comes to their holidays. Some prefer quiet holidays where they spend time with family and relax. Others prefer sports and a party atmosphere.
With the Fun Dose, you can choose the right campsite for the whole family. There are four different entertainment levels: green, blue, purple, and red. The fuller the bottle, the more entertainment there is! If the potion vial is green or only half full, then there is little entertainment on site. If the vial is red or nearly full, plenty of entertainment is available.
No matter the level of the Fun Dose, the mini-clubs and participation in all activities are free of charge.
On this campsite, the fun dose is blue, the campsite is lively.
From 29th June to 28th August 2026, we offer the following entertainment free of charge:
- The Clapou Club for 4–10 year olds welcomes your children 4 days a week from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. and from 3 p.m.–5 p.m.
- The Nobodys (11-17 years old) meet at least once a week.
- Two or three activity leaders are present on the campsite all summer. Sports tournaments and friendly entertainment are organised throughout the day.
- Three big evening events are organised per week, we will also surprise you with our top secret entertainment and the summer dance.
In the Netherlands, we offer entertainment from 3rd July to 30th August 2028.

Piccolo at the ‘Le Jantou’ campsite in Provence (Near Avignon)
Piccolo was working for a great wine merchant in the area.
One day, as he was on his way to deliver some barrels in Avignon, his horse kicked back and all his precious cargo spilled on the floor. Frightened to explain to his boss what had happened, he went to hide in a cave in Thouzon where some friends of the famous Carabouille lived. He was never seen again.
It was with what was left of his cargo that this strange house was built.

For older children, the Crazy Cone is a slide that ends in a funnel. It is a lot of fun. (Minimum length : 1m20)
A paddling pool complete with its own water slide, otherwise known as the snake, for children under the age of 6. Children can swim and slide in the safety of this attraction.

Please bring a swimsuit (brief or fitted boxer style). For hygiene reasons, long clothing is not allowed in the pools (shorts, underwear, wetsuits, swim skirts, bermuda shorts, regular clothing, full-coverage swimsuits, etc.).
Young children must wear swim diapers specifically designed for water use.
Wearing the wristband is mandatory.
Children who cannot swim must wear armbands at all times.
