The perfect base for visiting the idyllic Island of Ré by bike. Opt for one of our magnificent Raoul mobile homes—brand new and very well equipped. Covered and heated swimming pools are present on this campsite. The rental of 2 bikes is free (excluding school holidays and long weekends) for a stay of 7 nights in rental accommodation (subject to availability).

On the Island of Ré, 6 miles from La Rochelle, on the Atlantic coast, the Bonne Etoile campsite provides mobile home rentals with under a mile distance from the nearest sandy beaches.


The campsite has a heated indoor swimming pool (from 1st April until November) with water slides and a paddling pool with a water slide designed especially for small children!


The Island of Ré has long cycle paths that stretch for more than 68 miles and that are a delight to explore with the whole family! The island features a multitude of historic monuments to visit, including the Phare des Baleines (lighthouse of the whales), and the citadel of Saint-Martin-de-Ré built by Vauban.

With the Fun Dose, you can choose the right campsite for the whole family. There are four different entertainment levels: green, blue, purple, and red. The fuller the bottle, the more entertainment there is! If the potion vial is green or only half full, then there is little entertainment on site. If the vial is red or nearly full, plenty of entertainment is available.

No matter the level of the Fun Dose, the mini-clubs and participation in all activities are free of charge.

 

On this campsite the Fun Dose is red. This means there is a lot of entertainment provided!

From 6th July to 28th August 2026, we offer the following entertainment free of charge:

-The Clapou Club (4-6 years old) and Policator Club (7-10 years old) welcome children 4 days a week, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. 

-The Nobodys (11-17 year olds) meet up twice a week.

-We offer evening entertainment 5 nights a week, 4 entertainers, aqua gym every morning and an almost non-stop super fun day and evening program until midnight!

-Entertainment on French campsites starts from the 8th July (in French). On Dutchbox campsites the French animation team includes 1 Dutch speaking entertainer.

In the Netherlands, we offer entertainment from 3rd July to 30th August 2026.

Thrills are guaranteed with our multiple slides, including the famous multi-lane slides for exciting races and the playful snake-shaped slide.

The youngest guests are not forgotten with a heated outdoor paddling pool specially designed for them, featuring the Vipère slide, perfect for children under 6 years old. This safe area promises hours of sliding and laughter. Also, join our dynamic aquagym classes or the animated activities led by our costumed teams for an energetic and fun holiday. The entire area is nestled in a lush pine forest, just a stone's throw from the sea. 🌿

Discover the wonders of Île de Ré and its surroundings! Just 1.5 km away, Plage de Gros Joncs 🏖 invites you to swim and stroll on its fine sand, bordered by natural dunes. Enjoy the waves of the Atlantic Ocean for moments of pure relaxation 🏊. Not far, the Écomusée du marais salant (5 km) immerses you in the local culture and the beauty of Ré's landscapes 🌿.

Explore the charm of Saint-Martin-de-Ré, an iconic town. Stroll along its lively port, admire the colorful boats and typical houses. The majestic Saint-Martin Bell Tower (3 km) offers breathtaking views, while the Vauban Fortifications (2 km) and the Musée Ernest Cognacq (2 km) transport you through history 🏰 💭. Don't miss the Phare des Baleines (7 km) in Saint-Clément-des-Baleines, offering an exceptional panoramic view of the ocean 🗽.

Please bring a swimsuit (brief or fitted boxer style). For hygiene reasons, long clothing is not allowed in the pools (shorts, underwear, wetsuits, swim skirts, bermuda shorts, regular clothing, full-coverage swimsuits, etc.).
Young children must wear swim diapers specifically designed for water use.
Wearing the wristband is mandatory.
Children who cannot swim must wear armbands at all times.

From Octobre the pool closes at 7 p.m.
