In the south-west of France in the region of Les Landes the camping Lou Puntaou is situated next to Léon’s fresh water lake and in the heart of the nature reserve “Le Courant d’Huchet”. The campsite offers a wide range of accommodation, animation and activities for all ages.
The camping has three main zones: Lou Puntaou which is the most animated, Punta Lago and Gîte et Soleil the quietest of the three zones.
Our magnificent aquatic centre offers you a large, beautiful Aquaplay on the theme of pirates, a Spacebowl, two outdoor pool areas, slides, a covered, heated pool with a whirlpool bath and a fun paddling pool. There's also a second aquatic centre with 2 quiet pools without waterslides, including a heated indoor pool and a paddling pool.
For those of you who want to take advantage of our great entertainment but want to stay in quiet accommodation, we suggest the ‘Jardins du Puntaou’. All you have to do is cross the small Route du Puntaou to find yourself in a haven of peace and greenery with 50 accommodation units. A real tropical island, very quiet and full of flowers. An ideal site for families with young children, with children's play equipment and an outdoor swimming pool with a fun paddling pool.
Enjoy the beaches, sand dunes, lakes and pine forests, where you can practice many sports such as surfing, stand up paddle, sailing, canoeing, golf, horse-riding, walking, fishing or discover the area by bike on the excellent cycle tracks.
On this spectacular coastline (8km from Lou Puntaou), the wide sandy beaches stretch from Biscarrosse in the northern Aquitaine to the estuary of the Adour near Bayonne in the Basque region to the south, more than 100 km. Visit picturesque local towns such as Hossegor and Capbreton or beautiful cities of the Basque country like Bayonne, Biarritz, San Jean de Luz, San Sebastien or the coastal villages such as Cap de l'Homy, Moliets, Messanges or Vieux-Boucau.

With the Fun Dose, you can choose the right campsite for the whole family. There are four different entertainment levels: green, blue, purple, and red. The fuller the bottle, the more entertainment there is! If the potion vial is green or only half full, then there is little entertainment on site. If the vial is red or nearly full, plenty of entertainment is available.
No matter the level of the Fun Dose, the mini-clubs and participation in all activities are free of charge.
On this campsite the Fun Dose is red. This means there is a lot of entertainment provided!
From 6th July to 28th August 2026, we offer the following entertainment free of charge:
-The Clapou Club (4-6 years old) and Policator Club (7-10 years old) welcome children 4 days a week, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.
-The Nobodys (11-17 year olds) meet up twice a week.
-We offer evening entertainment 5 nights a week, 4 entertainers, aqua gym every morning and an almost non-stop super fun day and evening program until midnight!
-Entertainment on French campsites starts from the 8th July (in French). On Dutchbox campsites the French animation team includes 1 Dutch speaking entertainer.
In the Netherlands, we offer entertainment from 3rd July to 30th August 2026.
